plaster manufacturing regions in England, the area is still the site for BPB
extraction and manufacturing sites.

Börgardts began operations in 1889 producing high quality plaster extracted
from local quarries in Walkenried, Germany. The family-owned company was very
strong in both the home and export market and the reputation of Börgardts was
mainly built on its capacity to adapt highly technical products for ceramics,
dental, pharmaceutical and engineering use.

Plâtres Lambert was founded in 1875, but mining at the local quarry in
Cormeilles can be traced as far back as 1822. The family owned company
specialised in providing high quality plaster and gypsum products for moulding
for the engineering and ceramic industries. In 1991 the company was bought over
by BPB France (Placoplâtre). It was subsequently renamed as BPB Formula to mark
the creation of an entirely separate industrial plaster entity.
